Forget Lamborghini and Porsche. It’s time for you to meet the coolest 40-year-old in town.
A recently restored Enfield 8000 has just been crowned the world’s fastest road-legal EV car, packing a hefty 8000bhp punch with help from the batteries of an attack helicopter. Now renamed the Flux Capacitor (after the Back to the Future time machine!), it can go from 0 to 113mph in just six seconds, making it faster than the Lamborghini Aventador or a Porsche 911 Turbo S. Now that’s what we call performance!
It broke the world record just last Saturday at Santa Pod, where this little yellow car raced to victory with a top speed of 121mph and a quarter-mile time of 9.86 seconds. Well, just goes to show that you can teach an old dog new tricks!
